: Location in France of the town of Angers, Maine-et-Loire, Pays de la Loire.

For those of you who don’t know me, here’s a little bit of information about myself.   My name’s Rhys, I’m 20 years old and am in the middle of studying French at Southampton University.  I’m a true Welshman through and through, and I’m extremely proud to be one, despite often serving as the punch line for many jokes!
I’m off to Angers, in the lovely region of Pays-de-la-loire. This region is one that I’ve always visited when spending holidays in France as a child.  We’d always spend them in the département of la Vendée, which, thankfully, is the neighbouring département of la Maine-et-loire in which Angers is situated and where I will be living for 6 months.
I set this up with the intention of letting people from home know about my antics when spending time in France.  I’m really excited for this because the longest I’ve ever spent in France is 2 weeks,  so this will be an amazing challenge. Thank god I love cheese!  I’m not going to lie, but that’s one thing I cannot wait for!  No doubt I will soon get fed up of lunching on French stick with cheese and tomato, while imbibing a glass of vino!

Me and my dogs on a rock at the top of my beloved mountain. One of my favourite spots in my hometown of Pontypridd.
